Is snake plant safe for pets?
Not pet-safe. Mildly toxic to cats and dogs (saponins). See our guide to toxic plants for cats and dogs.
Common problems and fixes
- Soft, mushy leaves: Root rot from overwatering. Remove rotten parts, repot in dry gritty mix and water less.
- Leaves falling over: Too little light or too much water. Increase light and let the soil dry fully.
- Wrinkled leaves: Very thirsty. Give it a thorough soak.
